AMREP Supplier Management Services, a company specializing in managing offshore Chinese and Asian suppliers for major US companies, is proud to announce the expansion of its services into Europe.
Functioning as an extended quality control arm of high technology products companies in the USA, AMREP SMS stations its experienced local technical and quality personnel at contracted suppliers’ facilities to facilitate suppliers’ production, quality processes, design, material selection, testing, and final delivery.
With 20 years of experience in working with suppliers across Asia, AMREP SMS has nurtured a strong knowledge base of the complexities and difficulties of using contract manufacturers in emerging industrializing countries with poorly skilled workforces.
“China is moving into its second phase of industrialization, making high end technological products. This phase require a higher expertise of supplier quality management of the suppliers as they move into the second gear. As such, we have set up the AMREP Technological Centre inside China , to provide our customers with combined resources of acquired skills in supplier design and technology verification, supplier manufacturing quality, product and quality feedbacks. This enables the customer to have a stronger grip on quality defects and quickly develop fall-back actions”
Derrick Go, CEO
AMREP SMS continues to maintain a strong presence in Asia, China and Mexico for major corporations that include Medtronic, HP, Sony, Fujitsu, Rockwell Automation and more.
With the inclusion of SIEMENS into its customer base with ongoing work in Mexico, AMREP SMS is now moving forward to enlarge its service presence in Europe. It recently appointed Peter Kirton (UK) as its European representative to service the needs of European manufacturers who require stronger remote management of their contracted suppliers in Asia.
